CHAPTER V · HOW IT WORKS
From site visit to swim.
CHAPTER VI · THE SIX STEPS
Walk through the
whole project.
Each step below is what actually happens — what we do, what we need from you, and the rough timing. The order doesn't change; only the dates around it do, depending on council load and the size of the pool.
01
The Site Visit
We start with a site visit so we can properly assess access, positioning, and which Aloft model will work best in your space. We look at yard levels, access paths, overhead power lines, and where the pool can be craned or lifted into position.
This visit lets us give you accurate advice up front — and avoids the kind of surprises that derail a build halfway through.

02
The Quote
Following the site visit, we prepare a detailed written quote outlining your chosen pool model, finishes, placement, and the installation requirements specific to your block.
Your quote clearly separates pool supply, installation and crane/HIAB placement, and any site-specific items required for your property — so you can see exactly where every dollar goes.
Once you're happy, a deposit secures your pool and we move forward.

Pool goes into production
Once your deposit is received, your pool is locked into production. Production typically takes around fourteen weeks, with approvals and planning running in parallel to keep things moving efficiently.
We'll keep you updated throughout this stage so you always know where things are at — no chasing, no radio silence.

04
Council Approval
If Aloft Pools is handling installation, we can also prepare and lodge the required council documentation on your behalf — including coordinating drawings, certifications, and responding to any council queries that come up.
Approval timeframes vary by council, but typically run twenty to twenty-five business days. We guide you through the process every step of the way.

Site Works
Once approvals are in place, site works are completed in preparation for installation. Site prep is typically carried out a few days prior to install — and usually takes between two and five hours, depending on what's required.
This is the unglamorous bit that makes install day boringly smooth.

Installation Day
Installation day is fast and exciting. Your pool is delivered to site and craned or lifted into position, with installation typically taking around five to six hours.
Once placed, final checks are completed and your pool is ready to be filled — the moment everything comes together. From here, it's just a question of how warm you'd like the water.
